              Profile description

                  0-12 cm (Ap1) Dark brown (10YR 3/3) silty
                  clay loam; common fine distinct strong brown
                  (7.5YR 4/6) mottles; fine crumb and weak fine
                  subangular blocky structures; friable, sticky,
                  plastic; many fine roots; common decayed
                  rice stems; moderately alkaline (field pH 8.0);
                  clear, smooth boundary.
                  12-29 cm (Ap2) Very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2)
                  silty clay loam to silty clay; common fine
                  distinct strong brown (7.5YR 4/6) mottles;
                  moderate medium subangular blocky structures;
                  firm,  sticky,  plastic;  many  very  fine  and
                  common fine roots; moderately alkaline (field
                  pH 8.0); clear, smooth boundary.

                  29-48 cm (B1) Dark  yellowish  brown  to
                  yellowish brown (10YR 4/4-5/4) sandy loam;
                  common fine distinct strong brown (7.5YR 4/6)
                  mottles; weak fine subangular blocky structure;
                  friable, slightly sticky, slightly plastic; biological
                  activities; moderately alkaline (field pH 8.0);
                  clear, smooth boundary.
                  48-62 cm (B2) Dark grayish brown (10YR 4/2) clay loam; common fine distinct yellowish brown
                  (10YR 5/6) mottles; weak medium subangular blocky structure; firm, sticky, plastic; very few very
                  fine roots; few soft and slightly hard Fe&Mn concretions; moderately alkaline (field pH 8.0);
                  gradual, smooth boundary.

                  62-85 cm (B3) Grayish brown (10YR 5/2) clay loam; common fine distinct yellowish brown
                  (10YR 5/6) mottles; weak medium subangular blocky structure; firm, sticky, plastic; very few very
                  fine roots; few soft and slightly hard Fe&Mn concretions; moderately alkaline (field pH 8.0);
                  gradual, smooth boundary.

                  85-117 cm (B4) Brown (10YR 5/3) clay loam; common fine distinct yellowish brown (10YR 5/6)
                  mottles; weak fine and medium subangular blocky structures; firm, sticky, plastic; few soft Fe&Mn
                  concretions; about 3% of secondary lime concretions Ø 2-5 mm; moderately alkaline (field

                  117-133 cm (C1) Yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) loamy sand; few fine faint mottles; weak fine

                  133-155+ cm (C2) Yellowish brown (10YR 5/4) fine sandy loam; common fine faint yellowish brown
